Settling slurry
Wilson deposition
Settling-slurry mode adds the solids excess gradient as an equivalent minor loss on the carrier friction, with a deposition-velocity check per pipe.
เมื่อไรจึงใช้
- Tailings, dredge, mineral, and other settling-slurry lines where deposition risk matters.

คำนวณอย่างไร
The mixture specific gravity sets the static head, and the solids excess hydraulic gradient (over the carrier water) is folded in as an equivalent minor-loss coefficient on the carrier’s own Colebrook friction — regime-independent and exact in the turbulent regime slurries run in. The velocity is checked against the Wilson deposition velocity.
สมการ
Mixture specific gravity
C_v = solids volume fraction, S_s = solids specific gravity. Drives the static head Δz·(Sₘ−1).
Excess gradient as an equivalent loss
Δi_m = solids excess hydraulic gradient (m head per m pipe) over clear water — added as a minor loss on the carrier friction.
Wilson deposition velocity
F_L = Wilson factor (particle size / concentration). Below V_D solids settle — a blocking scope note gates the datasheet.
ข้อควรระวัง
noteBelow the deposition velocity → a blocking note (A36) gates the datasheet; the empirical band is always flagged (A35).
