Bow-tie diagrams
threats · top event · barriers
Visualizes a deviation's threats, the top event, its consequences, and the preventive/mitigative barriers standing between them as a bow-tie diagram — built automatically from the deviation's own causes, consequences, and safeguards rather than redrawn by hand.
เมื่อไรจึงใช้
- Communicating a hazard scenario to a non-specialist audience (management, an operator training session) more intuitively than a worksheet row.
- Checking at a glance whether a scenario has barriers on both the prevention and mitigation side, not just one.
ค่าที่ต้องกรอก
| ค่า | คำอธิบาย |
|---|---|
| Causes / consequences / safeguards | Pulled directly from the same deviation row — no separate bow-tie data entry. |
คำนวณอย่างไร
Causes render as threat lines into the top event on the left, consequences fan out on the right, and each credited safeguard renders as a barrier positioned on whichever side (prevention vs. mitigation) it actually protects.
ข้อควรระวัง
noteA safeguard that isn't entered on the deviation row won't appear as a barrier — the diagram is only as complete as the underlying worksheet data.
