Reservoir
fixed head source
A fixed-head boundary: an infinite source/sink that holds a constant hydraulic head regardless of flow. The classic reference datum.
เมื่อไรจึงใช้
- A large body of water, a header at known pressure, or any point where head does not change with the flow you draw.
- You need a reference so the rest of the network solves.
ค่าที่ต้องกรอก
| ค่า | คำอธิบาย |
|---|---|
| Total head / elevation | The fixed head (m) held at the node — elevation plus any surface pressure head. |
| Fluid override | Optional — inherit the system fluid or pin a per-node fluid. |
คำนวณอย่างไร
The head at a reservoir is prescribed (a Dirichlet boundary). The global matrix fixes this node and solves flows and heads everywhere else against it.

Prescribed head
z = surface elevation, pₛ = surface pressure (0 for an open reservoir). Held fixed regardless of flow drawn.
