EPANET fittings-fidelity toggle

Exact import vs auto-generated K-factors

A switch on EPANET import chooses between importing the network exactly as modeled (no assumed fittings) or auto-generating junction minor-loss K-factors — so you control whether the import silently adds hydraulics the source file never specified.

เมื่อไรจึงใช้
  • Reproducing a specific EPANET case for validation, where any added fitting loss would break the comparison
  • Bringing in a rough network sketch where realistic fitting losses are actually wanted
  • Auditing why an imported model's pressures don't match the original .inp
คำนวณอย่างไร

On "exact", every junction imports with zero assumed minor loss; on "auto", DekEn estimates tee/bend K-factors from the junction's connectivity and applies its own fitting library.

ข้อควรระวัง
noteThe default matters for validation work — always confirm which mode was used before comparing to a published EPANET result
noteAuto-generated K-factors are DekEn's own estimate, not something recorded in the source .inp
